About the PTO

 

Pear Tree Observatory is a private research observatory concentrating on minor planet and comet orbit verification.  It earned the IAU observatory code of H23 on Jun 14, 2009 and has been submitting observations since that time.  The observatory supports the educational and public outreach programs of both the NorthWest Florida Astronomy Assoc. and the Escambia Amateur Astronomers’ Assoc.



The observatory also supports the scientific and educational efforts of the following organizations:

  3. Keep up the great work! Juno pictures were excellent as well as supernova. So great to have PTO doing great science locally!

  4. Great to see addition of the solar instrument! Some would say the most dynamic object to observe in our solar system. Not to mention its daily impact on this planet! A definite must have addition to PTO.
